Black and White Portraits

After I changed the photo to black and white, I messed with the levels and textures so that the light source (white) didn't overpower the grays and blacks.

I took this picture using light from a window. The shadows come from the blinds on that window and after turning the picture black and white, I cropped it to make it more simple.
